To correctly set the gain control at the top of each channel strip on the mixer, turn the red knob clockwise until the LED next to the fader just starts to blink from yellow to red, than back it off until it stops going in to the red. Optimum gain is now set for that channel. This provides the best sound-to-noise ratio for each channel.
